Thule Roof Bars
Looking to transport your gear and need more space?  Roof Bars are an essential accessory.  Thule roof bars are designed to fit all types of vehicles and roof types, making them an ideal choice for any adventurer looking to transport that extra bulky gear to the slopes, beach, campsite etc!

Our Roof Bar Kits include everything you need to attach them to your vehicle and start using straight away.  A typical kit will consist of a pair of roof bars, a foot pack and a fitting kit.

We understand how confusing it can get choosing roof racks.  That's why we've worked with Thule to create a simple solution for our customers.

  • Simply enter your vehicle registration above to find compatible roof bars for your vehicle
  • In most cases you will see 6 x options (A to F)
  • Each option contains everything you need for the vehicle, a set of bars, a foot pack and a fitting kit
  • Some vehicles do not require all 3 parts but rest assured, whichever option you choose, you will receive everything you need

The roof bars shown will be the recommended length for your vehicle.  However, you may be able to substitute for a different length of bar if you wish.  It's worth checking with us first if you want to do this.

If you are not sure what roof type your vehicle has, you can read our BLOG POST which will help you understand and select the correct option.  Choosing the correct roof type is essential to selecting the correct kit.  If you're unsure, contact us first for assistance.

Which Thule Roof Bars Should I choose?

Choosing the most suitable option for your needs/budget can be confusing.  The range consists of........

  • SquareBars - Budget option classic steel bars with a black polymer coating.  Capable of carrying almost anything but can be a little noisy compared to other bars in Thule's range
  • WingBar Evo - Aerodynamic system for an incredibly quiet ride with easy installation, maximum loading space and a tonne of accessories.  Available in Aluminium and black finishes
  • WingBar Edge - Identical style of bar to WingBar Evo but the bar is integrated into the feet for an all in one system.  Due to this, the load width is less than the Evo bars.  Some prefer the look of this bar to other ranges
  • SlideBars - Slide the bar off either side of the vehicle for the easiest possible loading option.  If you regularly load/unload and/or have bulky loads this may be the best option

All styles of bar allow you to load any type of Thule Roof Box, and pretty much any other brand of box on the market.  You can also load Bike Racks, kayaks and surfboards, SUP's, ski carriers and much more.  Check with each individual product description for compatibility with each style of Thule UK roof rack.

Thule's Roof Bars come with a Manufacturer's warranty of 5 years for extra peace of mind.

FAQs

Thule aim to have a solution for every vehicle on the market. However, this is not always possible as some roofs/vehicles simply can't support a roof bar system and/or take the weight of what might be carried. If there's a solution, we will offer it. Using our vehicle registration lookup is the tool to use to check if there is a kit available
These kits will clamp to the roof where the doors shut. For exact fitment, click on the instructions shown on the product page
Thule's bars can carry up to 75kg but you must also check your car manufacturer for what your vehicle can carry too
Thule's fittings are finished with a special coating aimed at preventing any scratching or damage to the roof whilst being installed
This is not recommended because some models raise above the roofline of the vehicle and could impact the foot pack or bars. This can cause damage to the vehicle and/or rack itself
In general, this will not be possible because each vehicle requires a unique fitting kit. However, if the recommended roof bar length is the same from one vehicle to the next you can re-use them but you'll almost certainly need a new fitting kit and may also need a different foot pack (if the roof type is different). We can confirm this for you
