If you need to return any of your order, please use the returns portal to request a return. Returns will not be accepted if they are not requested via the portal.

To request a return simply

·        Enter your order number and email address to find your original order.

·        Select the items and quantity you wish to return.

·        Select how you would like to receive your refund.

·        Select the reason you wish to return the selected items.

·        Select the method to return the items back to us.

Depending on the reason you are returning items to us certain conditions apply as detailed below.

Changed my mind / Ordered by mistake.

Unused items, in new condition, can be returned to us within 30 days of the date of receipt for a full refund (not including original postage costs where applicable). Goods must be returned in original packaging. If original packaging is not available, customer is responsible for sourcing suitable alternatives. Upon receipt, goods and packaging will be inspected. We reserve the right to reduce the refund by up to 30% if packaging is not found to be in a re-sellable state.

We reserve the right to refuse a refund if the goods are.

(3)   Showing obvious signs of use

(4)   Missing parts

Please note that you, as the customer, are responsible for the cost and risk of the return. We can arrange a collection from you, this cost will be deducted from the refund. The cost of arranging a collection by our courier is considerably more than the cost of a delivery. If you are returning a small item, like a fitting kit / foot pack / spare part, it may be cheaper for you to return it to us via the post office. Our costs for collections from UK mainland addresses are. 

(1)   £16.75 - Standard items (Roof Bar Kits / Water & Winter Sport Racks / Roof & Rear mounted Cycle Carriers)

(2)   £37.50 - Larger items (Tow Bar mounted Cycle Carriers / Roof Platforms)

(3)   £57.99 - Extra Large Items (Roof Boxes / WanderWay / Arcos, Tents)

If you are returning items from an address outside of UK Mainland, we will confirm the cost prior to arranging a collection.

Doesn’t work or defective / Doesn’t fit my vehicle.

If any of the items we have supplied are defective or do not fit your vehicle we will arrange collection of the items at our cost.

If the goods are found to be working on return or they do fit the vehicle(s) stated, we will deduct the cost of collection from the refund.

Goods must be returned in original packaging. If original packaging is not available, customer is responsible for sourcing suitable alternatives. Upon receipt, goods and packaging will be inspected. We reserve the right to reduce the refund by up to 30% if packaging is not found to be in a re-sellable state.

Wrong item sent / Missing parts / Arrived damaged.

If your order has arrived damaged, with missing parts or have been incorrectly supplied, roof-bars.co.uk will be responsible for all replacement/return costs if proven to be at fault.

If items were advised as damaged or faulty and subsequently found not to be the case on return, we will provide photographic or video evidence back to the customer. We reserve the right to reduce the refund by up to 30% if no fault is found. Customers will also have the option of receiving the goods back with postage costs covered by them instead of a refund.

Exchanges.

We are unable to offer exchanges. If an exchange is sought, please return original order for a refund using the returns portal and place a new order on the website. Upon receipt of the return, goods and packaging will be inspected. We reserve the right to reduce the refund by up to 30% if packaging is not found to be in a re-sellable state.

Conditions that apply to all returns.

·        Orders that are refused delivery will have the cost of return carriage deducted from the refund.

·        No refunds will be processed until we have received the item(s) back. Refunds will be processed within 7 days of being received.

·        Any goods cancelled under the Distance Selling Regulations must be returned to us before a refund can be processed.

·        For orders placed in December, the returns period is extended until the last day of January.

·        Your consumer statuary rights are not affected by the contents of this returns policy.
