At the top of this page you can enter your reg to find your vehicle. Don't know your reg or have a new vehicle? You can manually select the vehicle to the right of the search box
Make sure you select your roof type (even if only 1 x option, it needs to be selected). If your roof type is not shown, we don't have any compatible products at the moment
Compatible options will be shown. Using our guide above, select the set of roof bars that most matches your needs. Every option includes all the fittings and fixtures you need to attach to your vehicle
Identify your roof type using our guide below
A normal roof is one that has nothing on top at all. If you have anything on top of the roof such as rails or fixing points (sometimes found under a removable/retractable strip) then the vehicle is NOT a normal roof. Fittings will clamp to the door frame where it shuts.
Flush rails are normally visible rails parallel to the doors on the roof. A flush rail does not have a gap meaning you would not be able to put your hand underneath and wrap your hand around the rail.
A visible rail which is similar to flush rails but there is a gap underneath that will allow you to put your hand under and grip the rail. These normally sit higher on the roof than a flush rail.
Fix points can be found on the roof of the vehicle and are usually above each door. Sometimes they are hidden under a strip or cover. The fix points allow the fittings to be screwed to the roof securely.
Fix points the same as shown above but with a sunroof. This will clearly be stated in the product description. Fitting roof bars across a sunroof will limit the ability to open the sunroof fully. Check with us for confirmation before ordering if this is important to you.
Found on some larger vehicles such as Land Rover Defenders, VW Transporters, Porsche Cayenne and more. A t-shaped groove visible in the roof similar to the diagram above.
Rain gutter roofs feature a raised channel running along the edge of the vehicle’s roof. This type of roof is most commonly found on older vehicles, vans and some off-road vehicles. Roof bars attach by clamping securely onto the gutter, making them one of the simplest systems to fit. Always check the compatibility of the bars with your specific vehicle, as weight limits and gutter strength can vary.
These are built in foldable crossbars found on a few vehicles including Dacia Duster and Subaru Outback.
We are increasingly seeing more vehicles like this. If your vehicle has flush rails, it may have fix points built into the flush rail. So by choosing flush rails on our site, the roof bar kits shown may include parts for a fix point roof. Do not worry, this is correct.
The correct roof bars for your car depend on your vehicle’s make, model, year and roof type. Roof bars are not universal, which is why it’s important to choose a vehicle specific roof bar kit.
The easiest way to find the right option is to enter your car registration. Our system will automatically match you with the correct roof bar kit designed specifically for your vehicle.

Roof bars can slightly affect fuel economy because they create additional wind resistance while driving. This can cause the vehicle to use a little more fuel, particularly at higher speeds or when carrying items such as roof boxes, bike racks or other roof mounted accessories.
To help minimise this effect, many modern roof bars are designed with aerodynamic shapes to reduce wind drag and noise. If the roof bars are not being used regularly, removing them when not in use can help improve fuel efficiency and reduce wind noise.
This is not recommended because some models raise above the roofline of the vehicle and could impact the foot pack or bars. This can cause damage to the vehicle and/or rack itself.
The majority of bars can carry 75kg. But you should check your vehicle's manual for what your car can carry too. Whichever is the lower value is the capacity you can carry on the vehicle.
Don't forget, we have done all the necessary research to recommend the correct fitment for your vehicle. We take the information from our suppliers and update our own internal database on a monthly basis to ensure the data on our website is up to date. That's why you should always use our buyer's guide when searching for roof bars as we will only show you the compatible products
All of our roof bar kits include everything you need (pair of bars and all the fittings/fixtures)
Although there are cases where you can have a different length of bar, it's not recommended as it wouldn't comply with Thule's Crash Test Norms and would invalidate the warranty
