Show Roof Bars For My Vehicle

There are several reasons why entering your registration in our vehicle lookup doesn't return any products.  We detail some of these reasons below, but before reading them, we recommend that you try entering your vehicle manually using our vehicle selector.  This is found to the right of the orange search button next to the yellow registration box. (or below on mobiles) This may find suitable products that the registration lookup didn't, and here are some potential reasons why................

New/Old Vehicle

Every vehicle has a unique vehicle code, and for brand-new vehicles, it may simply be that the code hasn't yet been updated in our database.  We update the database every month, so it's possible that a few vehicles may hit the market before we've entered them into our system.  It could also be that Thule haven't yet tested products on the new vehicle.  In this case, it's worth checking again in the coming weeks/months for matches.  For older vehicles, it may be that Thule no longer offers a compatible fit, or products that were compatible have been discontinued due to their age.

Weak Roof - Some vehicles cannot support roof bars, and the potential load, due to weight capacity restrictions of the roof.

Convertible Vehicles - Simply not possible to attach, the roof is not strong enough to support them, and you wouldn't be able to put the top down with them attached!

Private Number Plate - If you have a private number plate, this probably won't be registered on our database.  Use the vehicle selector tool instead of the registration lookup to check whether any roof bars are available.

Imported Vehicles - Even if the imported vehicle has a UK registration plate, it may not show in our database.  Again, use the vehicle selector tool instead of the registration lookup to see if any roof bars are available.

No Solution - Thule tests every vehicle on the market, but some vehicles and/or roof types simply won't be suitable for loading a roof rack.  There could be a number of reasons for that, including integrated roof railings being too large for parts to clamp onto, or the roof's shape or angle not allowing parts to be fitted.

In all instances, we recommend using the vehicle selector tool to double-check if any products are available.  If there are still no matches, feel free to contact us for clarification.  We may still be able to offer a solution for your vehicle.

FAQs

Thule aim to have a solution for every vehicle on the market. However, this is not always possible as some roofs/vehicles simply can't support a roof bar system and/or take the weight of what might be carried. If there's a solution, we will offer it. Using our vehicle registration lookup is the tool to use to check if there is a kit available
These kits will clamp to the roof where the doors shut. For exact fitment, click on the instructions shown on the product page
Thule's bars can carry up to 75kg but you must also check your car manufacturer for what your vehicle can carry too
Thule's fittings are finished with a special coating aimed at preventing any scratching or damage to the roof whilst being installed
This is not recommended because some models raise above the roofline of the vehicle and could impact the foot pack or bars. This can cause damage to the vehicle and/or rack itself
In general, this will not be possible because each vehicle requires a unique fitting kit. However, if the recommended roof bar length is the same from one vehicle to the next you can re-use them but you'll almost certainly need a new fitting kit and may also need a different foot pack (if the roof type is different). We can confirm this for you
